  • The Course Withdrawal period for the Fall ended on November 12, 2025.

If you need to request an exception to the withdrawal policy and seek approval for a late withdrawal, please email registrar@sebts.edu.

    Please note:

    • Withdrawals after the withdrawal deadline are not allowed unless circumstances occur that were not present prior to the withdrawal deadline, and are beyond the control of the student, and prevent class attendance and/or completion of class assignments.
    • Heavy workloads, church responsibilities, or other personal and/or family difficulties normally are not sufficient reasons for withdrawing from a class after the calendar deadline.
    • If a student wants to withdraw from a class after the deadline, an appeal must be made through the Registrar's Office to the Dean of Graduate Studies (if a graduate student) or the Dean of the College (if an undergraduate student) and will be approved only in rare circumstances.
  • Please read the following policies before proceeding with your course withdrawal:

    • Do I still pay tuition/fees if I withdraw?
Fees and tuition will not be waived or refunded for withdrawals. A withdrawal from a course may even increase your financial obligations if you no longer qualify for scholarships previously posted to your student billing account. Please discuss potential financial aid repercussions with the Financial Aid Office (financialaid@sebts.edu).

    • When can I withdraw from a course?
Withdrawal requests are allowed until the withdrawal deadline, which can be found here. All course withdrawals are subject to the professor’s approval.

    • Do I still receive a grade if I withdraw?
Course withdrawals will be noted on the student’s transcript as WP (withdrawn passing) or WF (withdrawn failing) but will not affect the student's grade point average. However, course withdrawals will affect the student's Rate of Completion for Undergraduate students. Please discuss potential financial aid repercussions with the Financial Aid Office (financialaid@sebts.edu).

    • Can I withdraw after the withdrawal deadline?
Withdrawals after the withdrawal deadline are not allowed unless circumstances occur beyond the control of the student that were not present prior to the withdrawal deadline and prevent class attendance and/or completion of class assignments. Heavy workloads, church responsibilities, or other personal and/or family difficulties normally are not sufficient reasons for withdrawing from a class after the deadline.

    • Can I appeal the withdrawal deadline?
If a student wants to withdraw from a class after the deadline, an appeal must be made to the Dean of Graduate Studies (if a graduate student) or the Dean of the College (if an undergraduate student) and will be approved only in rare circumstances.

    • Should I withdraw?
Withdrawing is not always the best answer. Your professor wants to help you succeed, and we have Academic Advisors who can help. If you have not done so yet, please reach out to your professor and the Academic Advising Office (academicadvising@sebts.edu) to discuss better options.

Please only proceed with the form if you have read and understood these policies.

  • Please continue to complete your coursework until you have received confirmation that your withdrawal is approved and finalized.

Failing to do so may result in even greater difficulties if your withdrawal is not approved and you fall behind further in your classwork.
